All Premier therapists are graduates of accredited schools with a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy (PT, OTR, SLP). The Physical and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (PTA, COTA) are graduates of a two-year accredited program and assist the therapists with the rehabilitation program. Both the therapists and assistants have passed a national exam and are licensed to practice in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Premier therapists have extensive training in Medicare, PPS and its requirements, along with the MDS, as well as state and federal guidelines. Premier is committed to the development of its employees through its orientation process, ongoing training/audit protocols, and our focus of delivering services in accordance to our Credo, Purpose, and Beliefs.
Each facility has a dedicated team of licensed employees who are available 5 to 7 days per week. Staffing levels are based upon facility need to provide care and build programs for all residents in need of therapy services, in order to maintain the highest quality of life and independence in accordance with OBRA guidelines. Premier Therapy’s staffing and management structure promotes integrated planning and open proactive communication with the facility’s nursing staff.
